Pupil Voice

It is vitally important for us to ensure that our students have a voice and we have opportunities for all students to be involved in shaping our school. Our student council is an elected group of students who represent each tutor group and year group from years 7 to 13. They are responsible for representing students' thoughts and feelings about the school and their learning.

We have a very clear structure for our school council team that defines the duties of each role. The structure for our school council is as follows:

Student Leadership

Each term they meet with senior staff to discuss key matters and decisions and to give feedback on their thoughts and feelings. They also represent the student body in a range of ways such as leading inspiring assemblies both inside and outside of school, job interviews, whole school events, charity fundraising, school tours and meetings.

Our school council are students who our school community look up to and  aspire to be like. We are very proud of all they do.  They are the heart of Welling School and their contribution is visible for all.
