Level 2 Pathway

The Level 2 Pathway allows students who have not met entry requirements for Level 3 courses to access a programme of learning designed to provide a year of consolidation with a view to a further 2 years in the sixth form. This pathway includes English language and mathematics GCSE resits and could lead to a 2-year Level 3 applied study programme. 

Alongside English and Maths resits, students will undertake an OCR Cambridge Technical Level 2 Award in Sport and Physical Activity and a GCSE in Citizenship. Both of these courses are designed for Post 16 study and offer a qualification that is the equivalent to a GCSE. 

OCR Cambridge Technical Level 2 in Sport and Physical Activity

The Level 2 Cambridge Technical in Sport and Physical Activity qualifications aim to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills of the essentials of sport. You will gain an insight into the sport and physical activity industry. Designed in collaboration with industry experts the qualifications focus on the requirements that today’s employers demand. 

The course is made up of 2 external examination units and 2 coursework units.
